Johannesburg, South Africa —March 28th, 2026

The South African social calendar just found its new signature hue, Orange. Under the radiant Joburg sun, Brutal Fruit Spritzer officially ushered in a new era of “The Rossa Life,” launching its highly anticipated citrus variant, L’Orange Rossa at the Villa Rossa. With a fresh perspective on the golden hour, Brutal Fruit is reimagining South Africa’s sunset ritual, transforming it from casual drinks with friends to a refined l’aperitivo experience.

The launch, hosted by the  acclaimed actress and media personality Zola Nombona,Brutal Fruit  transformed the Johannesburg estate into a Mediterranean inspired sanctuary. The event successfully blended Italian inspired luxury with the unmistakable rhythm of modern South African femininity. Adhering to a “Citrus-in-Capri” dress code, South Africa’s elite from A-list influencers to fashion moguls gathered under the golden sun to witness the evolution of the beloved spritzer brand.list The guest list featuring Ayanda G Thabethe, Buhle Samuels, Kayise Ngqula, Larona Moagi, Naledi Malela, Nqobile Khwezi, Thando Wolf and Yanda Woods just to name a few.

As the atmosphere evolved, a sense of anticipation began to build, seamlessly transitioning from relaxed conversation to a moment of reveal. Guests were soon invited to sip and experience L’Orange Rossa, a vibrant blend of zesty orange and crisp apple, layered with gentle sweetness and finished with a subtle, sophisticated bitterness.

The experience moved seamlessly beyond flavour into the realms of fashion and sound, highlighted by a captivating collaboration between the Gugulethu Tenors and DJ Mvelo. In a powerful expression of brand synergy, Brutal Fruit also partnered with Londeka Buthelezi’s Malondié to unveil a limited-edition collection of hats, handbags, and scarves.

The collection, much like the drink itself, celebrates craftsmanship and unapologetic confidence. Models strutted through the villa showcasing pieces that translated the zesty orange palette into wearable art.

“L’Orange Rossa is bold, distinctive, and made for the way women gather now, expressive, effortless, and full of life,” says Candice Van Den Bosch, Brand Director.
